Responsible gambling at Bodog Canada
Bodog has operated for over 30 years. Long enough to know that for most members, gambling is recreation — and for a small minority, it crosses a line and becomes a problem. We've built tools for both, and we'd rather you use them than walk away unhappy.
Set limits from inside your account
All of these tools live inside Account → Responsible Gambling. They take effect immediately for decreases; increases require a 24-hour cool-off so they can't be used to chase losses.
- Deposit limits — daily, weekly and monthly caps on total deposits across Interac, cards and crypto.
- Wager limits — caps on the total amount you can stake per day, week or month.
- Loss limits — caps on the total amount you can lose (net of winnings) over a period.
- Session time limits — auto-logout after a set duration, with optional 15-minute and 30-minute reminders during play.
- Reality checks — periodic pop-up showing elapsed time and net spend for the current session.
- Cool-off (time-out) — suspend your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. Cannot be reversed until the period ends.
- Self-exclusion — close your account for 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years or permanently. Stronger than cool-off; not reversible during the period.
Signs to watch out for
If any of these sound familiar, take a step back and talk to one of the helplines below:
- Gambling longer than planned, more frequently than planned, or with more money than planned
- Chasing losses (trying to win back what you've already lost)
- Hiding gambling activity from family or friends
- Borrowing money — or selling things — to gamble
- Gambling causing stress at home, at work or financially
- Feeling unable to stop even when you want to

Protecting underage members of your household
Bodog requires all members to be 19 or older (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). If you share a device with someone under that age, please use parental-control tools to block access to gambling sites — GamBlock, BetBlocker and built-in OS-level content filtering all work well.
How Bodog identifies at-risk play
Our responsible-gambling team reviews patterns that historically correlate with problem play: sudden steep increases in deposit frequency, late-night chasing sessions, repeated near-limit breaches, account balance volatility. When the system flags an account, a member of our team reaches out — not to sell a bonus, but to talk through the situation and recommend a tool or pause if appropriate.
If you want to close your account
You can close your account at any time from Account → Settings. Any balance is paid out through your verified withdrawal method. If you want to close in a way that prevents you from re-opening for a defined period, use the self-exclusion tool instead.
